Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Mongon, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

Description of Service

Mongon is a native macOS application for connecting to and managing MongoDB databases. It provides a graphical interface for querying, browsing, and administering MongoDB servers. The app connects directly from your device to your databases — no data passes through our servers.

Free and Premium Plans

Mongon is available as a free application with optional Premium features. The free plan includes core functionality with certain limitations (e.g. 3 connections, 3 themes). Premium is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks additional features including unlimited connections, all themes, export/import, aggregation pipeline, change streams, CloudKit sync, and copy database.

Premium purchases are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Mongon on devices you own or control, in accordance with the Mac App Store terms and these Terms of Service.

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the application
• Use the application for any unlawful purpose

Your Data and Databases

Mongon is a tool that operates on databases you provide access to. You are solely responsible for your database contents, the security of your connection credentials, and any actions taken through the application (including queries, modifications, and deletions).

We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups of your databases. Mongon is provided as-is, and we are not responsible for any data loss resulting from the use of the application.

Availability and Updates

We strive to keep Mongon up to date and compatible with the latest versions of macOS and MongoDB. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with all configurations. We may release updates at our discretion, and Premium includes all future updates at no additional cost.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Mongon is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Mongon.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Mongon after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
